The Mourne Motorcycle Club will host the fifth round of the Ulster Solo Adult Motocross Championship at Seaforde Moto Parc on Thursday, July 13.
After four rounds of the six round championship there are plenty of County Down riders fighting for top places.
In the Grade A MX1 class Loughbrickland’s Jason Meara has an eleven point lead over Lisburn’s Richard Bird, with Seaforde local Nathan Green 28 points behind the leaders in third.
Donaghcloney man Niall Cregan & James Mackrell, from Belfast, are tied for the lead in the Grade A MX2 class, with third place Jordan Keogh sitting 24 points behind the leaders.
The Grade B MX1 class is led by Jamie Clarke, as fifteen year-old Loughbrickland rider Jack Meara has a twenty three point lead at the top of the Grade B MX2 class.
In the Grade C class there could be two new champions on the day as Waringstown rider Steven White leads the Grade C MX1 class by 66 points & Kilclief man Rory Cultra has an 81 point lead on the chasing pack in the Grade C MX2 class.
On the day there will also be County Down riders competing for the top spots in the Youth 125 and Youth Premier classes. Bikes will be out on the track from 9.30am, with the first race to start at 11am. Entry to the event will cost £5 for adults, while children go free and car parking is also free.
